Gary, I would love to begin an ongoing conversation with you about Parkinson's. But I have a different goal. Although I have friends diagnosed with Parkinson's, I do not have it. I am not a doctor either. What am I? I study cure: the THEORY OF CURE. Seriously. You can check Google and Bing - I am currently "outstanding in my field" - because there is no-one else at present who studies cure. I would love to discuss and explore the concept of cure with regards to Parkinson's disease.
WOW! Your work on hands and unfreezing is incredible! There is so much hope and love that comes through in your messages! Perhaps even possible prevention? What a wonderful blessing it is to have your knowledge available to us. Thank You!
Beautiful. I enjoyed reading the linked Social Engagement article. The "triumvirate of responses" perspective is brilliant, simple, and useful. Your work is applicable to so many conditions!
Yes, in my opinion all these diagnosis labels are just artificial human constructs, grouping by collections of symptoms of things with the same root causes, but different presentations
As a retired acupuncturist, I fully concur! Traditional Asian Medicine may not be perfect, but has among its strengths a completely different way of diagnosing, using much more tactile and observed information as well as interoception, and bypassing much of the abstraction. It attends to energetic aspects directly, with the main conceptual framework of Jing/Qi/Shen corresponding to and complementing much of what you present in regards to polyvagal theory, dopamine system, etc. I just love the clarity of your presentation!
Gary, your website is visually appealing with so much excellent content. What a great resource for folks with PD, for family and friends who seek to understand, and for practitioners looking for information to bolster their tips and techniques.
Yes, I believe it can because it has a known fibriotic effect, and the stiffness in pd is mostly in the fascia. I posted a couple of case studies about this from medical journals to "Notes" a while back.
I suspected that because my beloved feisty 85 yr old aunt who had, up until the C19 vax era, only displayed some shaking in her hands, experienced two incidents of full body collapse and now has full on (but manageable) Parkinsons post vax. She knew I was skeptical of the shots but she was full-on in favour of them. I have not brought up this possible connection with her so as to preserve our good relationship.

Thank you! Yes, I believe anything which helps reduce symptoms will also have a preventative effect.

You are appreciated.
Does the Covid booster aggravate Parkinsons?
