Wilhelm Reich founded the 7 Belts of Tension and the emotional bioenergetics that correlate with the development of character structures. Alexander Lowen furthered his work. There has been breathwork predicated on Reich's work called BBTRS - Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release system. You might find this helpful too!

Yes, Devaraj writes about it on his substack, but I haven't come across the 7 belts of tension of this context, will look into it.

Deficits or constrictions in bodily orgone are at the root of many diseases. Students of the history of medicine are well aware that FDA's tyrannical behavior has a long history. They led the witch hunt against Dr. Reich, marshalling the resources of multiple USA agencies to persecute, hound and silence Wilhelm Reich and his students. We continue to pay the price to this day

Thank you for this information. I’ve been blocking since I read your first post about it. I did have an mri and found that I have a torn miniscus... that it was not just simply pain I could block away. I found that the infrared therapy I used on the same knee took the arthritis pain/swelling down, but then the miniscus was much more painful, not having the swelling to protect it. There is nothing that brings as much relief as the blocking for me... and some days I feel that’s all I’ve done, laid on my block for hours haha.

Thanks for this feedback - so glad to hear it has helped you too!

My husband had a badly torn meniscus and used physical therapy techniques given to him by a sports medicine practitioner. In fact, the doctor advised *against* surgery! Over a couple of years of dedicated self-therapy with those techniques, my husband fully healed from the injury.

That’s awesome... I didn’t know that was possible

The body is amazing when we treat it properly!

Very interesting, all the way through!! - especially the way the stuckness can be undone if you just are looking for it and do a simple technique on it.

Thanks for sharing this. The divulgative work you do is so important. I can relate to your experience with “blockages” (and their visualisation), and I’ll try out tapping.

You somehow hinted to the fact these blockages can be “dissolved” with visualisations.

Do you think that is THE way to ultimately let them loose?

I’ve experience with staying unconditionally with the blockage in the body, with stronger bodywork release interventions on them (eg bioenergetic), with dialoguing with them, with gentle touch, etc But yet not sure what’s the most effective way to let them go.

There is a bit more to the technique Lilian uses - although it starts with visualizing a story about a problem area, the important part is the rewriting of the story so that the area can feel safe and release. The combination of both using the mind and the body as ports of entry has worked well for me. ps here is a recent podcast with Deanna and a guest, where you can really see these restrictions, and there releases, with before and after photos... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVHlv9rt00A

Just watched the video. My main takeaway: I should work more on the calfs and feet to release the tension on my upper body!

I might actually be wasting a significant amount of time by working directly on the upper part, instead of the lower one.

The amount of tiredness that is released by working on the calves is unimaginable. Wow! Was it the same for you?

I could only do very little at a time/per day at the start - just a minute or so, as it would release too many sequestered toxins too quickly and overwhelm my system...

Is there any correlation to the chakras in these bands? Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting thought! I have not read anything making this point, but yes I think there is something in this. There is the concept of the Primo Vascular System which links the fascia system to Eastern medicine https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2005290113002082

Those bands look like they originally come from Wilhelm Reich's Character Analysis back in 1933, just for the record.

OK thanks for the reference. Lynn also commented on this.

Thank goodness we don’t have to rely on capsules of dried powdered fish skin or pig or cow hides to have healthy fascia. Lillian is amazing. Thanks Gary!

Abstract

The study investigated the effects of ozone treatment on the neurodegeneration of stereotaxic rotenone-induced parkinson's disease (PD) model. The model was confirmed using the apomorphine rotation test. α-synuclein, amyloid-β, Tau, phosphorylated Tau, as well as tyrosine hydroxylase(+), nNOS(+), and glial cell counts were used to evaluate neurodegeneration in the substantia nigra pars compacta and ventral tegmental area. The experiment involved 48 Sprague-Dawley rats divided into four groups: dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), DMSO with ozone (O), DMSO/rotenone (R), and D/R/O. Ozone treatment significantly improved tissue α-synuclein level and TH+, nNOS+, and glial cell counts compared to the rotenone-only group. The study suggests that ozone treatment may have beneficial effects on PD biomarkers in the rotenone model. Further studies on ozone dosage, duration, and administration methods in humans could provide more evidence for its potential use in Parkinson's disease treatment.
